Rajan Dermatology is a full-service dermatology practice. Dr. Rajan and her staff of board-certified dermatologists have helped individuals keep their skin healthy and vibrant for two decades.

Betty Rajan, MD
At Betty Rajan, MD: Dermatology & Skin Care located in Fort Worth, Texas, patients can expect the best. Betty Rajan, MD, has over two decades of experience using her medical and cosmetic expertise to help her patients enjoy healthy, vibrant skin. She and her staff use the most innovative treatments and procedures to drive meaningful health and aesthetic results for each patient they see.
Dr. Rajan is a board-certified dermatologist who has practiced in Fort Worth, Texas, since 1998. She started building her medical expertise while earning her bachelor of science in biology at Texas A&M in College Station, Texas. She then completed her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
To continue building her experience, she completed an internship at the University of Houston Health Science Center and her dermatology residency at Texas Tech University Health and Science Center in Lubbock, Texas. During her third year there, she served as chief resident.
Today, Dr. Rajan leverages this extensive training plus two decades of experience serving families in the Fort Worth area. In the last decade, Fort Worth Magazine has named her a Top Doctor twelve times.
In addition to serving her patients at Betty Rajan, MD: Dermatology & Skin Care, Dr. Rajan volunteers at Cornerstone Charitable Clinic on a monthly basis. There, she helps provide primary and preventive care to uninsured patients.
When she’s not using her dermatology expertise to help patients lead healthier, more beautiful lives, you can find Dr. Rajan enjoying time with her family and friends, reading, cooking, or traveling.
Jennifer Gamez, RN, MSN, FNP
Jennifer Gamez is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years experience in dermatology.
She received her Bachelor’s in Nursing from Stony Brook University in 1993. She completed her Master’s in Nursing at University of Texas at Arlington in 2000. Jennifer is originally from New York. She enjoys traveling, hiking, and cooking in her free time.
Karen Moreland, PA-C
Karen Moreland, PA-C, joins our practice bringing with her over 5 years of experience in medical and cosmetic dermatology. Most recently, Karen practiced with Dr. Lydia Parker, a dermatologist at the Parker Skin and Aesthetics Clinic, in Cleveland, Ohio. Prior to her time in Cleveland, Karen practiced with Dr. Vivian Bucay in San Antonio, Texas. With Dr. Bucay, Karen expanded her cosmetic dermatologic experience working with many injectables, various laser treatments, and a vast array of skincare products. As a medical dermatologic provider, she is able to diagnose and treat many skin conditions, and also perform procedures such as biopsies, cryotherapy, photodynamic therapy, intralesional injections, and excisions.
Before beginning her career in dermatology, Karen previously lived in Fort Worth, where she started her PA career. Karen first worked in an internal medicine practice where she gained her initial experience in diagnosing and treating patients with many diverse medical conditions. She then joined Plastic Surgery Texas where she began not only her cosmetic injectable experience, but also her medical dermatologic experience through her comprehensive care for patients undergoing skin cancer reconstruction.
Karen earned her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of North Texas Heath Science Center (UNTHSC) in Forth Worth, Texas. Karen earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business at Texas Tech University, where she competed in Division I Soccer for the Red Raiders.
Karen notes that she particularly enjoys being involved in patient care and strives to maintain long-term relationships. In fact, Karen was voted “Most Compassionate” by her peers at Plastic Surgery Texas.
During her time away from the office, Karen enjoys exercising, listening to live music, cheering on her Dallas Cowboys, and, of course, spending time with her husband, Justin, and their two girls. They are certainly enjoying being back in Fort Worth where their story began years ago!

Sonya Tanna, PA-C
Sonya Tanna is a Board Certified Physician Assistant specializing in both medical and aesthetic dermatology. People and the skin are her passion. Patient education is her strong suit as she feels it is the key component to well managed care.
Sonya earned her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies and Bachelors in Respiratory Care from The University of Texas Medical Branch. In addition, she is a Diplomate Fellow of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
More recently, Sonya was quoted to be the “Botox Whisperer” in PaperCity Magazine Fort Worth 2021. She focuses on natural enhancements using neurotoxins, dermal fillers, and lasers.
To consistently provide the highest quality of patient care, Sonya makes it a priority to continually attend medical education programs with hands-on training. These programs keep her up to date on the latest advancements within the medical and aesthetic field.

Sommer Durante-Murray, RN
Sommer Durante-Murray, RN is a 20-year veteran of cosmetic dermatology and aesthetic medicine. After receiving her degree in nursing through Wichita State University, she was blessed to work with a progressive dermatologist who instilled in her a deep knowledge of cosmetic dermatology. Under his mentorship, Sommer was first introduced to the practice of lasers in cosmetic dermatology and aesthetic medicine. Sommer then went on to become an owner and managing partner in a cosmetic medical distributorship and a medical day spa in which she was an aesthetic consultant and clinical nurse trainer. During her 14 years in that role, she had the privilege of training internationally herself and traveling the nation to train physicians and their staff in lasers, laser physics, chemical peels, Botox, injectable fillers, and sclerotherapy.
Her business and represented manufacturers were regularly featured in Aesthetic Trends and Technology, Aesthetic Guide, The Journal of Dermatology, and The American Journal of Mesotherapy. Over the years, Sommer has had the opportunity to work with several laser manufacturers on clinical studies and participate in writing treatment guidelines for submittal to the FDA for approval. Those events have led Sommer to be inducted into the 2006-2007 Cambridge Who’s Who Honors Edition.

Rebecca Mullins, LE
Rebecca has 15 years of experience as a licensed aesthetician. She has specialized training in laser treatments and has worked with different modalities to rejuvenate skin and remove unwanted hair, broken capillaries, redness, and all forms of hyperpigmentation.
Rebecca is trained to perform facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and micro-needling. Rebecca possesses expert knowledge of medical-grade skincare products.
I’ve always enjoyed helping others reach their goals. It feels good to work hard and see positive changes in our patients’ skin.
